Frequently Asked Questions

Do I have to pre-enrol my child?

Yes, pre-enrolment is necessary because Good Shepherd sets a limit to class sizes.

We suggest that children be enrolled well before the date of admission.

A registration fee of $70.00 (which confirms the application and is not refundable) must accompany the application.

What happens after I have completed the application form for my child?

Your Enrolment Application Form and registration fee are processed and you will receive confirmation via a letter.

In Term 2 of the year prior to your child starting school, you will be contacted by the School to arrange an interview with the Principal.

Should you have any questions with regard to enrolment, do not hesitate to contact the Enrolment Officer.

When will I find out if I have been offered a position for my child?

Positions for new Prep students are offered prior to the end of Term 2 of the year prior to your child starting school (early June).

When is Pre-Prep Orientation?

In Term 4 of each year our new Prep students undertake a Pre-Prep Orientation Program. This allows new students and their parents to familiarise themselves with Good Shepherd.

This Orientation Program takes place over a number of sessions that prove to be invaluable in supporting a smooth transition into their first year at school.

Am I able to enrol my child into a Year Level other than Prep?

Applications are accepted for all Year levels, however, positions are only made available as vacancies occur.

An Enrolment Application Form will need to be completed for each child.

Should you have any questions with regard to enrolment, do not hesitate to contact the Enrolment Officer.
